Fables Origin Story

Why We Exist

Fables was founded in 2022 by Juan Torres and Lee Nelson—a global brand strategist and an award-winning filmmaker who've led marketing and production for some of the world's most iconic brands.

They saw two fundamental gaps:

1. Brands missing the cultural moment
Culture shapes human behavior—yet many brands still treat cultural marketing as an afterthought or a checkbox exercise. Multicultural audiences are the new mainstream, but marketing hasn't caught up.

2. Agency models weighed down by inefficiency
Traditional agencies separate strategy, creative, and production into silos, creating markup, complexity, and delays.
